These Public Service Announcements, part of a series titled "Play It Safe," were produced by Instructional Media Services at U of T's Faculty of Medicine, in partnership with Hospital for Sick Children, in 1975.
From the creative, meta scripts, to the wonderful child actors and stellar production values (the latter not necessarily apparent in these film-to-video transfers), these PSAs are great examples of the quality of productions delivered by IMS. Shot on 16mm film, these prints have, unfortunately, not been well stored (they were recently discovered strewn around a dusty storage room), and the colours have faded considerably. However, the storylines are punchy and overall, the films are very entertaining.
