UTORid Password Reset

Existing UTORid passwords cannot be retrieved and therefore have to be changed. If you have an idea of what your password might be, go to the UTORid password verification page.

If you forgot your password, and have not registered for the password reset tool, you must contact your Business Officer (or delegate) to request that your password reset be setup on your behalf. A list of Business Officers is listed at the bottom of this page.

If you are a Business Officer (or delegate), you can request a password reset for someone in your department. To do so, you must verify the identity of the requestor, and then send an email request to MedIT with the following information: UTORid of the requestor, alternate email, best time/date to call the requestor for confirmation.

Once this information has been received, MedIT will do the following:

• Set up/register the password reset tool for the account
• Initiate a password reset

This will result in the user receiving a password reset message to the alternative email or SMS number provided, allowing them to reset their password.

Register for the UTORid Password Reset Tool

The UTORid password reset tool allows you to conveniently and securely reset your UTORid password if you have forgotten it. To set up your Password Reset Tool, please do the following:

1. Go to UTORid Management and Under Password and Account Management, select set up your UTORid password reset/account management options

2. Enter your UTORid and password

3. Under Password Reset & Account Management Options, fill in the fields for the requested information.

4. In step 2, choose "Alternate email" method for resetting your password (a security code will be sent to your email, which you will use to verify your identity on the password reset web page)

5. Click Update when finished

6. A Password Reset Confirmation window will open. Review the instructions and click Confirm. A confirmation window will open; no other action is required.

Once you have set up your password recovery options, it can take up to 20 minutes before you can recover your password.
